All over the world, tertiary institutions are better known as a “citadel of learning” but as a result of ruthless secret cult activities in the world especially in universities, the centres of learning have become “centres of unwholesome behaviour”. Cultism has taken the lives of countless youths in our society within and outside the campuses.
World Miss University Nigeria Peace Corps raises alarm during their Anti Cult project campaign presentation at the World Miss University Nigeria head office in Anthony village Lagos Nigeria, according to the president of the organization Ambassador Temidayo L. Kafaru World Miss University Nigeria is not a beauty pageant but an educational contest that fight for the morals and priviledges of Nigerian youths within and in diaspora. He also stated that Cooperate and Non Governmental Organizations that stand against immodest and unpleasant behavior of the youths in their various communities should come out and support the quest for national reformation of the youths. Ambassador Temidayo further emphasized that humankind have to start re-orientating the young generation of leaders towards the understanding of their responsibility in peace process and usefulness in the society.
There are no moral or ethical codes on our campus communities, the most brutal methods have become acceptable in Nigeria campus community`s.
The dangers of secret societies in Nigerian tertiary institutions far outweigh whatever fleeting advantages. The Nigerian tertiary Institution now accommodates ill acts such as rape, oppression, killings, drug addiction and theft. We have to make students realize they can disease from such acts and live normal lives.
We can also help to eradicate the evil acts by spreading the message of love and understanding on our campuses. However, Nigerians must be dedicated to work ‘hand in hand for peace’ with the World Miss University Nigeria Peace Corps in their various tertiary institutions.
With your support we can make a statement hand in hand for peace
